Apt Boykin is currently serving as a Service Officer with the Butler County Veterans Service Commission. He is originally from Northeast Ohio, but became a resident of Butler County in 2017 after retiring from U.S. Army. Apt started his 20+ year of military service in Fort Leonard wood, Mo as an Engineer. While in service he deployed to Iraq (3x), station in Korea (2x), Hawaii, and multiple stateside assessments. Some of Apt's highest awards consist of the Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), and Bronze Star Medal (1OLC).

Apt is currently enrolled into the Bachelor’s program at Trident University (Business Administration, and Leadership). Apt’s enjoyments are family time, fishing, road trips, and serving Veterans.
